Olde Winilba was the first vineyard established in the Sunbury region in the early 1860's. The gentle eastern slope and the rich volcanic soil produced wines which won awards both in Australia and overseas.
Winilba winery was given a new lease on life when the Andraos family replanted the vineyard; and relying on old photographs, restored the old bluestone cellar to its origional beauty. In fact, the original bluestone walls, brick floors and old winemaking vats are a feature in the sales and wine tasting area.
Today, driving along Vineyard Road, you will see the historical bluestone building standing proudly amongst acres of vines, that continue to produce award-winning wines possessing the special qualities distinctive to the region.
Estelle's Restaurant above the cellar, offers fine food and excellent service with spectacular views across the valley. The unique presentation at this venue promises the visitor a memorable experience.
